Dausa, Rajasthan, July 1: A bad accident happened on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa district. At seven people died and more than 20 others got hurt when a passenger bus hit a truck and caught fire. This accident happened near Dhanawda village on Wednesday.
The bus was going from Haridwar to Indore with around 37 people on it. The accident happened between 2:30 am and 3:00 am when the bus hit the truck that was moving ahead. The bus went into a ditch. Caught fire, trapping many people inside.
Dausa Superintendent of Police Piyush Dixit said five people died because of the fire and two others died from head injuries. The people who were trying to rescue others had a time because the fire was so strong. It spread fast through the bus making it hard to save the people who were stuck.
Than 20 people who were hurt were taken to the hospital right away. Some people had burns some had broken bones and some are still in very bad shape. The doctors are ready to help the people who are hurt badly. The authorities said the number of people who died could change depending on how the hurt people’re doing.
The police, the people who take care of the highway the firefighters and the people who live nearby all worked together to get the people out of the bus. The firefighters were able to stop the fire. Then they used big machines to move the bus and the truck out of the way. The traffic on the highway was stopped for a hours before it started moving again.
The police are trying to figure out what happened. They think the bus might have hit the truck from behind. They are not sure yet. They are looking at things like how the bus was going if the driver was tired if the driver could see well and if there was something wrong with the bus. The police are also talking to the people who were on the bus and the people who saw the accident.

Experts are saying that people need to be careful when they are driving, not drive fast and make sure their vehicles are safe.
