New Delhi, May 23 2026: The investigation into the death of actor and model Twisha Sharma has reached the Supreme Court. Her family said she was treated badly by her husband Samarth Singh and her mother-in-law Giribala Singh after she got married in December 2025. The police found out that Twisha Sharma and Samarth Singh met on a dating app before they got married.
The police filed a case against Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh because of what Twisha Sharmas family said. The police wanted to find Samarth Singh. He was hiding for a long time. The police even said they would give a reward to anyone who could help them find Samarth Singh.
Samarth Singh was finally. Arrested near a court in Jabalpur. The court in Bhopal said the police could keep Samarth Singh for seven days to ask him questions about Twisha Sharmas death. Samarth Singh also gave his passport to the court.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court said that Twisha Sharmas body should be checked again by doctors from AIIMS Delhi. Twisha Sharmas family was not happy with the report. The court said this should be done soon as possible.
The Bar Council of India said that Samarth Singh could not be a lawyer anymore because of what happened to Twisha Sharma.
