With the new infrastructure, the traveling time would lessen, and accessibility to healthcare and educational services would improve, along with the unobstructed flow of goods. It was highlighted that emphasis has been placed on projects that target semi-rural areas.
Amit Shah has again emphasized that the Centre is committed to peace as well as stability within the North Eastern states. Development is closely linked to a secure environment. Efforts to address old issues have ensured that favorable conditions have been created that will attract investments and help Assam become an economic hub within this region. Today, the state is better placed to attract investments that will help Assam emerge as an economic hub within this region.
The inauguration ceremony also featured discussions about ongoing and future projects. There were updates to the Union Minister regarding the development that had been attained in the sectors of digital connectivity, infrastructural development, and the delivery of social welfare projects. Shah stressed the need for the authorities to be punctilious regarding the timelines and transparency in the execution of the projects.

A section of the youth expressed enthusiasm about the jobs that would be created courtesy of the initiatives.
Political watchers consider the visit significant, particularly against the backdrop of efforts to enhance the Centre’s interactions with the northeastern states. It has also been pointed out that the infrastructure development efforts being undertaken by the state of Assam are reflective of the national strategy to integrate the Northeast into the growth and development happening in the country.
While Assam is growing as a vital strategic and economically important area, this is just another milestone in the development process for this important region, with more projects in the pipeline, including connectivity projects and social infrastructure initiatives, said officials. With the Centre’s commitment being reaffirmed in view of this on-ground action, the initiatives launched by Amit Shah will play their part in the development of Assam and the significance of this region in the overall development of India.
